This week’s blog I will be writing about my favorite movie of all time, Step Brothers. This has been a favorite of mine for years and will continue to be because of how funny it is. My whole family has probably watched it at least 50 times together, we always have it on, and are constantly quoting it to one another around the house. As for movie genres, I have always liked comedies the most because I love it when a movie can affect my emotions and make me laugh so hard my stomach hurts. I have watched almost every movie Will Ferrell is in since he is my favorite actor, and Step Brothers just hit different for me. The childish and youthful sense of humor is played out so well by him, and I love the concept. My family also loves it because we reference it to our own lives since my two brothers are technically stepbrothers. We got them matching stepbrothers mugs for Christmas and it was the funniest gift yet. Whenever I can’t think of anything to watch it’s always my go-to, even if I just need some background noise. I also love that they performed songs in it, it creates more depth to the plot of the movie and allows the characters to express their comedic lines in a new way. Anytime my friends and I are talking about our favorite movies, I’m always so surprised when a few of them have said they have never seen Step Brothers, and I convince them that they need to watch it and won’t regret it. Many of my friends have taken up my recommendation and come back telling me they loved the movie and thought it was hilarious.
